As a Charlottean, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a staff member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission, Mary knows and loves this city! She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Public History with a focus on historic preservation of the built environment. Her Masters Thesis, the Original Concept and Design of Charlotte College (1957-1965), will serve as a preservation tool to document and demonstrate the architectural and historical significance of the original buildings on the campus of what is today known as the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. With experience in video editing, Mary is working on creating a documentary on the evolution of the Charlotte College campus.
